Our Decorative Sangkalan is featured in “Pangkabuhay Swak na Swak” because of our Filipino culture orientation. We are proud of our lineage, tradition and heritage and we reflect that in our products. This unique product is hand painted by our local pool of artists. Painted in acacia wood, our sangkalan is sturdy.
Our clients loved that it’s both functional and decorative. You can use it as a “hot plate” where you can put your serving plate. It creates an artistic ambience to your table setting. And once the event is done, you can clean it to become decoration again.
A proud Cordilleran, Zari Mae Dela Cruz of Zarigurumi incorporates her heritage into the amigurumi dolls (crocheted dolls) that she lovingly makes.
“I found my sweet spot when I made the Gayen doll as a tribute to our ancestor,” she shares. “People liked it because it was unique.”
Eventually, Zari wants to share her skills with the women in her community in Kapangan, Benguet.
“My soul is in every stitch that I make,” she smiles. “For me, it’s not just a doll; it’s a prayer.”
